SMART Choice

You might find times when you feel pressured to smoke. Most kids don’t smoke. But if someone offers you a cigarette, it can be hard to say no. If you ever feel pressured to smoke, think A.B.C.: Avoid, Back It Up, or Change! Try it!

Avoid. Walk away, hang with friends who don’t smoke, or try to predict what could happen before it happens so you don’t find yourself being pressured to smoke.

Back It Up. Say no, be assertive, and state how smoking is a filthy disgusting habit!

Change. Make an excuse, say something funny, or change the subject
